The Falcon Hotel - Bude

I had a single room, and honestly, it was really comfy. The bed was a nice size for a single and super cozy. The bathroom had proper soap dispensers, no tiny bottles-which was a win. The room was clean and warm, even without a view. You can feel the charm of the place for sure, even if it's just for one night.

Nice pool, modern rooms with balcony overlooking the water-excellent evening meal in the coachman's bar. An electric kettle, central heating, an iron and ironing board available. Courteous service, parking on site. ...  

Hotel is reasonably large.

I had a decent stay here, really enjoyed the really good quality and presentation of dinner, especially the heavenly cheesecake dessert. Breakfast though was a letdown, not as shown in the photos. I'd consider staying again.

A trek into town requires a good 10 to 15 minute walk, which can be challenging, especially if you're looking to avoid inclement weather or have mobility issues. Some dining experiences may require patience, as meal service can be slow, particularly during peak hours.

Fabulous stay in a charming location

The staff were consistently great, especially at breakfast where the choices were freshly cooked and delicious. I did find the dinner portions to be a bit on the smaller side, which left me wanting more.

The building is easily accessible, with comfortable common areas and lovely gardens, perfect for seniors.

More senior-friendly dining options would be appreciated.

the central positioning made it so easy to stroll down to summerleaze beach and the serene gardens beside the hotel provided a lovely spot to relax after a day of exploring, making this place a gem for weekend wanderers like me.

The room was pretty nice and the food was tasty, but our table was forgotten at dinner, and we felt rushed. Really liked the packed lunches option! Wish service was smoother overall, though. They could use more staff in charge to oversee things better.
